Class Mechanics of Khaine

Soul Essence
Using wicked ritual blades, a Disciple harvests the essence of their enemy and offers it to Khaine in exchange for fell blessings and dark powers. This fairly well describes what the Disciple is all about. Draining the soul’s essence from enemies and transferring that power to allies or themselves. As mentioned above, the Disciple is a healing hybrid that not only melees at the frontlines, but also heals himself and his allies. Soul Essence is what powers the Disciple’s restorative abilities.

There are three ways for a Disciple to build Soul Essence. When not in combat, a Disciple will quickly regain any lost Soul Essence. Most of the Disciple’s melee abilities will build Soul Essence when damaging an enemy and finally, every Disciple has the ability to turn Action Points into Soul Essence with the Blood Offering ability. Without Soul Essence available to the Disciple, he is unable to heal or restore anyone. The Disciple’s current level of captured Soul Essence is displayed in the Chalice in the middle of the default in-game UI and has a maximum value of 250. Covenants
While Covenants might not officially be a class mechanic, I thought I’d describe them here.
